You do not need a developer account with direct ssh access in order to contribute to GStreamer. Usually only people who have been contributing for a longer period of time are given direct access.

Please submit any patches/contributions in form of "git format-patch" formatted patches via GNOME bugzilla (bugzilla.gnome.org) as per
