Created attachment 133493 [details] dmesg during cd boot with Arch kernel 4.12.3 Hi, I have a Lenovo E420s Laptop with a hybrid ATI/Intel Card and the Radeon Card wasn't detected correctly for ages. Now I noticed that, since I changed my Boot from BIOS to UEFI it is detected correctly at the boot from the Install/Rescue CD but still not at the boot from my hard drive. I am running Arch Linux. The message "[drm:radeon_get_bios [radeon]] *ERROR* Unable to locate a BIOS ROM" appears in the dmesg output during the hard drive boot but not during the CD boot. Because of a suggestion on the Arch BBS (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1730357) I am trying to report this bug here. I hope this helps.

Can you identify what the differences are between those two kernels?
I copied the 4.12.3 kernel from the cd to the hd an bootet it from the hd. It occurs the same error as with the 4.12.6 kernel.
I fixed it a few minutes ago. It was GRUB related. I installed Syslinux and it worked. I assume it has to do with the BIOS option "enable the discrete card if the OS supports hybrid graphics". (The other option is "disable discrete card" ...). Thank you anyway for your help. :)
