Description Pavel Panchekha 2017-09-14 17:42:51 UTC
Background:

At some point I had the zeroconf and roap module installed and enabled; when I uninstalled the modules, the Gconf keys that enabled them stayed around, so Pulseaudio would print error messages every time it started up and tried to load them.

The bug:

These modules cannot be disabled from paprefs: it detects that the modules are not present on the file system and disables (grayed out) the checkbox in the "checked" state, so it cannot be unchecked.

Proposed fix:

Paprefs should allow disabling modules that are not present on the file system by leaving their checkbox enabled (not grayed out). Or, it could auto-disable those modules, or show a warning button describing the error and which you could click to disable the module.
