Hello

module-switch-on-port-available currently only try to find the best port, when the availability of a port change.
For our use-case (different hardware, no manual configuration) it would be preferable, if that logic also rain on startup.

As said on IRC months ago, the patch work as expected and we have been using it in production for ~ 4 months).

What is the state of getting the patch merged?

The state is that I need to write an updated patch. Sorry for not doing that earlier, I'll do it now.

The patch is now in the "next" branch. The fix will be released in 13.0.
