Description persmule 2017-10-12 08:37:37 UTC
Newest 3gpp-based location info (cell tower info) can always be fetched from a working modem with a serial primary port (e.g. Huawei modems with serial and NCM ports), either done periodically by modem-manager-gui, or manually via execute $ mmcli -m ${INDEX} --location-get.
However, these values fetched from a working modem with a QMI primary port tend to remain its initial value when the modem is powered up and recognized by MM. In order to fetch fresh values, 3gpp-based location should be disabled and then re-enabled, e.g. by execute $ mmcli -m ${INDEX} --location-disable-3gpp then $ mmcli -m ${INDEX} --location-enable-3gpp.
