Spoon is "A meta data access system for documentation browsers", based on the proposed help system spec [1]. It currently doesn't have much of a home (a SVN repo on my home machine), however is going to be included in GNOME 2.20 (provided a. it finds a home and b. integration work with yelp goes as planned). The project is completely desktop- and platform- agnostic and KDE have expressed an interest in using it (hence fd.o instead of GNOME). It would need a SVN repo and download space on an ftp server. Could you also please add me to the project (dscorgie). I'll file for account creation in a separate bug. Thanks Don [1] http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xdg-list/2006-November/008796.html
Hi, Any news on this?
Update: The project has changed its name to Rarian. Updating the Summary to reflect.
From bug #10376 ------- Comment #5 From Vincent Untz 2007-06-21 09:02:56 PST [reply] ------- Don, I guess you also want a product in bugzilla. Do you know if you'll need a mailing list or website? Yes, a bugzilla product would be good. Yes, a mailing list would probably be a good idea (though, it'll be very low traffic I suspect). It doesn't really need a website (I don't think).
done. svn available at: svn+ssh://svn.freedesktop.org/svn/rarian svn://anonsvn.freedesktop.org/svn/rarian web at (no ftp yet): annarchy.freedesktop.org:/srv/rarian.freedesktop.org/www http://rarian.freedesktop.org bugzilla created also
I think I'm doing something stupid, but I can't commit to the SVN repo: don@Madaline:rarian $ svn ci Adding branches Adding tags Adding trunk svn: Commit failed (details follow): svn: Can't create directory '/svn/rarian/db/transactions/0-1.txn': Permission denied svn: Your commit message was left in a temporary file: svn: '/home/don/Work/gnome/fdo-import/rarian/svn-commit.tmp' When checking out with svn+ssh://svn.freedesktop.org/svn/rarian rarian and copying relevant files across. Any ideas (or alternatively / also any way of importing from a different SVN repo i.e. will svn export then import work)? Cheers
might help if i actually made it group-writeable ... no idea about the import/export, though.
More stupidity by me... http://rarian.freedesktop.org leads to: You've come to gabe.freedesktop.org. Maybe you were looking for www.freedesktop.org. If this is the case, please ask whoever sent you here to update their URLs. I've replaced the index file with an index.html, but I still get redirected to the above. Any ideas? (Sorry)
oops, sorry, dns screwage. fixed now; you might want to make it point to annarchy.freedesktop.org in your /etc/hosts while you wait.
