The current shared-mime-info includes the entry "WordPerfect document", mime application/vnd.wordperfect that uses the pattern="*.wpd" It is the most common suffix but there are used also another suffixes all over the word: .wp, .wp5, and .wp6. Especially the .wp suffix is relatively widespread, see for example (random pages found by google): http://webmaster.iu.edu/mimetypes/ http://www.rpi.edu/dept/acs/rpinfo/common/Computing/Consulting/Software/FrameMaker/Hints/filterpack.html http://libwpd.cvs.sourceforge.net/libwpd/regression/testset/ http://www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/LinuxTutorialMimeTypesAndApplications.html http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wseic/v2r5/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.wse.doc/wpf/dcs_view_html.html The current entry is most probably based on the IANA registration at http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/vnd.wordperfect So, .wpd is the standard suffix but... Could you please add the other suffixes to the pattern? At least the "*.wp"?
Thanks for your bug report! Fixed. [1] provides a brief list, that also includes .wp4. [1] http://www.saugus.net/Computer/Extensions/wp/view
