In http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?id=dc48bd653c7e1013e2d69e3f59ae3cbc0c893473 the xserver was changed to automatically die if logind was restarted. In the mean time, logind was fixed to store/restart fds on restart: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/5600 Thus, please consider reverting the above commit again.
