from IRC: <tursulin_> marta_, cpuhotplug I've reported it yesterday to lkml but no replies yet. I've reproed the failure with pure cpu offline/online loop - no i915 - https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/series/37744/.

I will archive the bug from cibuglog. However, it should be kept open. This issue should be fixed by new BIOS version.
Just to clarify: This bug is kept open because we need to make sure this issue gets fixed in core and/or BIOS.

new BIOS or new BIOS + latest drm-tip fixed this.
Patch from Tvrtko is just enable testing again on that test on APL.
