٭, 'ARABIC FIVE POINTED STAR' (U+066D) should look five-pointed, but it looks like a 9.

can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing, in the Character Map for example? The current U+066D glyph is shaped like a star with five points and shouldn't look like "9"...

Oops, might not be a problem with the font. Only Firefox 2.0.0.3 seems to have trouble with it.

Oops again, problem went away after I rebooted. (I had installed new versions of DejaVu fonts without rebooting.)

yeah, that's also known to give problems for some reason, probably with caching. thanks for reporting anyway.
