the dmesg

I have an AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx laptop.

After system is booted and plugged the HDMI cable, the laptop's display had been blurred a while than came back again, and the extended display also worked.
However, I can see the amdgpu module hits the error in dmesg: "[drm:generic_reg_wait [amdgpu]] *ERROR* REG_WAIT timeout 1us * 10 tries - optc1_lock line:553" and the warning message.

The kernel that I used is Linux 4.16.0.
Comment 1 Matthew Miller 2018-11-05 20:09:52 UTC
Is this the same as #107261?
Comment 2 jian-hong 2018-11-19 07:18:53 UTC
I am not sure.
But I have tried 4.18 kernel and cannot reproduce this issue again.
By the way, it is Xorg in use.
