The sum sign is displayed as a dot. Page 2

Referring to this issue:

I have attached a PDF. When opening it in the browser, math equations are correct. When opening it in Okular (PDF viewer), some symbols are incorrect. Okular says that 'google-croscore/SymbolNeu.ttf' is used for 'Symbol'.

I'm going to say this is a problem with your fontconfig configuration and that you should be using a different font for "Symbol", I'm using /usr/share/fonts/gsfonts/StandardSymbolsPS.otf and i'd say it shows fine.
