The issue was observed on 4.12-suse 4.16.13 and 4.17-rc7 kernels.
Could you also test with drm-tip (unless that's what you mean with 4.17-rc7)?

Reporter, can you add debug logs from issue seen with latest drm-tip? I see you have tried 4.17-rc7 kernels but logs from drm-tip would be good.
Can you also comment what system this is, some NUC ?

No feedback in many months, clossing as resolved works for me. Please re-open is still the case after testing latest https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip and send dmesg with drm.debug=0x1e log_buf_len=4M?
