On a Funtoo system built with KDE Plasma and SDDM, consolekit (1.1.0-r1) installed with policykit (0.113-r3). 

Usually, it may take more than a minute to login at the GUI console. 

This error appears multiple times in the log
[console-kit-daemon] CRITICAL: polkit_authority_check_authorization: assertion 'POLKIT_IS_AUTHORITY (authority)' failed_

It seems like these two things are associated.
