Description clark 2018-06-15 08:32:01 UTC
After upgrading to 0.65 I can't access the utils

Command:
sudo /var/bin/poppler-0.65.0/build/utils/pdfimages -list test.pdf

Error:
We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System
Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:

#1) Respect the privacy of others.
    #2) Think before you type.
#3) With great power comes great responsibility.

sudo: no tty present and no askpass program specified

Previously I have added permission to sudo via "sudo visudo" like this

www-data ALL = NOPASSWD: /var/bin/poppler-0.64.0/build/utils/pdfimages

After installing 0.65 I changed the path/version to

www-data ALL = NOPASSWD: /var/bin/poppler-0.65.0/build/utils/pdfimages

But now I get the above error?

Have tried on two different Debian servers.. Same error..

Can't access the utils anymore

This has nothing to do with poppler.
Comment 3 clark 2018-06-18 08:06:01 UTC
The path is correct to the utils? when shifting back to 0.64 it works fine

That error message is from `sudo` so I don't see how poppler could be responsible.
Comment 5 clark 2018-06-24 10:50:13 UTC
but why is it then suddently not working after 0.64?

you must have changed something in your code.. the utils can not be run from nginx/php anymore
