Created attachment 141094 [details] Shell sript to black the screen Hi, Attached is a script I have used for a long to make the screen black when I dont need to have it (because I dont use the computer and listen to music, or whatever). Blind people use it because they can save battery making the screen black. The problem now is that the script does not seem to work properly without reasons. The situation has changed for some weeks. While it should black the screen immediately, it does not. To have a black screen, I need to do alt-ctrl-f1, then alt-f7. However, when I run the script while the screen is black, it is lighted again immediately. This script uses xrandr. The output is here: Before script: http://paste.debian.net/1037969 After the script: http://paste.debian.net/1037970 After alt-ctrl-f1 then alt-f7 (black screen): http://paste.debian.net/1037971 Best regards
