I am using Fedora 28 (applies also to 27) with 8700K processor and integrated graphics. When I run "sudo intel_gpu_top", I get the following message:

Your intel_gpu_top is too old to recognize 8700K. Coffee Lake support was included in 1.20 iirc.

Reporter were you able to verify with latest intel gpu tools?

Here you can find the latest intel gpu tools where you can build and install latest intel gpu tools git://anongit.freedesktop.org/xorg/app/intel-gpu-tools.
