I have checked the inside of /sys/class/drm/card0/error file. Nothing but:
[root@x card0]# cat /sys/class/drm/card0/error
No error state collected

Tell me if I send more information.

Reporter, Can you send full dmesg from boot with kernel parameters drm.debug=0x1e log_buf_len=4M?

Can you also attach cat /sys/class/drm/card$N/error ?

In which kernel does it happen? Have you tried latest drm-tip?(https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip)

How often does it occur? Any particular pattern that you see the hang?
Comment 2 Lakshmi 2018-11-02 10:12:05 UTC
Reporter, need all the above details for debugging this issue.
Also, how often this happens? Is there any particular pattern to reproduce this issue?
Comment 3 Lakshmi 2018-11-27 08:33:52 UTC
No feedback for more than a month. Closing this bug.
Reporter, please try to reproduce the error using drm-tip (https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip) and kernel parameters drm.debug=0x1e log_buf_len=4M, and if the problem persists attach the full dmesg from boot.
