As a second (Xinerama) screen I've got some weird redraw problems, especially if I quickly scroll something (or move it around). I'll attach a screenshot to show what I mean. This happens under KDE but only on the mga screen and also with eg. Mozilla so I doubt it is a KDE problem. This is Gentoo, Xorg is compiled with CFLAGS="-O2 -mcpu=athlon-tbird". It started to happen after I switched from XFree86 (4.ummm... the last stable version without the license issue) to Xorg 6.7.0. On 6.7.99.2 the problem is still present.
Created attachment 646 [details] screenshot of the problem I quickly scrolled around the page and the contact list with the scroll wheel. Note the cursor artefacts in the browser window and especially the problem with the list in the Kopete window.
Created attachment 647 [details] xorg.conf I know this file is a mess, I created it years ago with SaX and hand-tuned it the years over ;-)
The solution is here: http://freedesktop.org/pipermail/xorg/2004-May/000773.html
Fri Aug 13 19:53:10 2004 Soeren Sandmann <sandmann@redhat.com> * programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/drivers/mga/mga_storm.c (MGAStormSync): Fix for lockups on some versions of Matrox Mystique. #687, Patch from Mike Harris. It would appear then that this is a duplicate of #687, which is now resolved.
i'm unable to reproduce this with 7.0. if this is still an issue for you please reopen this bug.
As ajax said in his comment I'm flagging this as fixed.
