Description Kurt Roeckx 2007-05-13 04:31:58 UTC
I've just upgraded to xorg 7.2 with the intel driver instead of the i810 driver. When starting X now I start with a black screen. After a while it slowly starts to change color to light green, then to light gray. Then after a while it starts to change to dark purple/blue, and it stays that way. There are some big squares in it, about 10, in which the color changes a little.

When it was changing from green to gray, it looked like I could see the text from the console on it, but it wasn't very visible.

I've disabled dri in my xorg.conf, but it still seems to be loading it.

I can still switch to console and back. After I switch back, it starts at black again, and does the same things with the colors.

Ok, I830 panel support for the IVCH DVO chip has been merged to the intel driver master branch. It was tested on an IBM X30, so your mileage may vary, please test it at your convenience and re-open this bug if it still fails on your machine.

Things are working properly.

Thanks Keith!
