This issue was originally reported here https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110941#c5. Based on the Simon's suggestion created a new issue.
Original comment: The new failures seem like a different bug. It seems that DP audio tests are starting to pass instead of hitting the IsAudioStable issue. The fact that logs are truncated make it very difficult to understand what's going on. Hopefully dynamic subtests will be able to help a little.
The CI Bug Log issue associated to this bug has been updated. ### New filters associated * ICL: igt@kms_chamelium@dp-audio - fail - Failed assertion: success (No new failures associated)
Simon, what is impact analysis here?
User impact: audio may not be working within 2 seconds for some formats. I'd like to add more debugging to understand which formats don't work, but doing it properly requires Petri's dynamic subtest patches. Note that this bug shows that the kernel situation has improved: at least it works for some formats right now on DP. It used to not work at all: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110879 We don't have enough data yet to know whether 110879 still happens or not.
Closing as this hasn't been seen in the last two months, and only happened once.
