This test fails regularly on one BSW, one HSW and one SNB machine. One thing these three machines have in common is that they do not have a display connected to them. The failure in the test is the test fails to import the frame buffer for the device; this could be explained by the absence of a display device on the machine. The test should probably be enhanced to check if there is a display attached to the machine prior to proceeding.

My observation above that there is no display attached to the machines where failure is observed is incorrect. There is an LVDS or eDP panel connected to the device. However, when the test is executed the test fails to reinitialize the display pipes leading to the failure.
