Description Ambroz Bizjak 2007-07-29 11:32:19 UTC
After closing and opening the laptop display on T60p (FireGL V5200, 1002:71c4) the display shows garbage that flickers and changes as the mouse is moved. Switching to VT and back makes the screen show correctly (VT displays correctly also).
Using avivo git 7800016506da80b09a94279d17c0675b40791db0.

Radeondump dums before and after corruption

These are dumps created using radeondump. I was in KDE with Konsole window throung which I ran a script with made the dumps (suppressing all output). It made four dumps for each case - one at the beginning, one after moving the mouse, one after launching another Konsole using ALT+F2 and entering 'konsole' and one after closing that window using ALT+F4.

Reproducible with my T60 (Radeon X1400). It seems unconnected to xscreensaver activity and (as far as I can remember) did not occur before the commits from 18 to 24 of July.

same problem here with latest avivo on nc8430 (ubuntu gutsy)
Comment 6 Corbin Simpson 2010-03-27 05:21:42 UTC
avivo is deprecated. If radeon does not work for you, please file a new bug.
