Description Jesse Kline 2007-08-01 17:03:20 UTC
Changing the resolution using xrandr, or by hardcoding the xorg.conf file will corrupt the display and lock my machine a majority of the time when either Compiz, Beryl, or Compiz-Fusion are running. The screen will go black, except for the mouse. The mouse will move, but nothing else will work, forcing me to hard-reset the machine. I do not have this issue when I'm not running these applications.

I'm running Ubuntu Fiesty for AMD64. I had the same xorg configuration under Edgy and did not experience this issue. I've tried multiple versions of the NVIDIA drivers, but I get the same outcome every time.
