Stefan Lippers-Hollmann reported in the Debian BTS that the support for Intel 945GME, G33, Q33 and Q35 was missing in Mesa 7.0.1. It makes programs such as glxgears crash in i915_dri.so if the kernel drm supports this hardware (2.6.22). He says that only commits ad6351a994fd14af9d07da4f06837a7f9b9d0de4 and 8331d9d7aa7cde7126d38d4e1eb5fe8a168077f3 are required. These commits are very simple, they basically just add new PCI IDS to the existing code. So the risk of breaking anything seems minimal. He built Mesa 7.0.1 with them and got OpenGL to work fine on i386 and x86_64. So I think it would be good to backport these patches in mesa_7_0_branch. Thanks, Brice
OK, I've applied those patches to the mesa_7_0_branch branch in git. Look for them in the 7.0.2 release.
