Description martin Forget 2007-10-11 17:04:10 UTC
xorg 7.3
using the latest intel driver (git compiled october 1st),

hardware:
AOpen i945GTt-VFA Core 2 motherboard
Built-in Intel Graphics with GMA 950
link: http://www.logicsupply.com/products/i945gtt_vfa

TV Connected to COMPONENT (YpBpBr) output (using the provided dongle),

first setting the output mode to 720p@59.94Hz or 1080i@59.94Hz

using: xrandr --output TV --mode 1024x768 --set TV_FORMAT 1080i@59.94Hz

in the xf86-video-intel
(probably i830tv.c)

resolution of
800x600
1024x768
1280x720
1080x540

are now available

using xrandr, we can set between 800x600 and 1024x768 and everything works fine.

but 1280x720 or 1080x540 fail

(only the last horizontal third of the screen appears on the first horizontal third of the TV)

resolutions of 1280x720 and 1080x540 have been tested and working on windows on the exact same hardware connected in the same matter on the same tv.

we are available for testing, mforget@mtotelecom.com

Where are you seeing 1280x720 and 1080x540 available?
Please attach the output of "xrandr --verbose"
