After S3 resume, Ubuntu users with the 855GM chipset have reported all textured surfaces are corrupt. This was most notable when using compiz, but simple GL programs using textures also demonstrated this bug.

Ubuntu bug is:

very corrupt X after suspend/resume

Peter, I pushed your fix upstream.  I think we can do it better with kernel suspend/resume support, but since that's not available everywhere yet, your patch is probably a good idea.
