/etc/init.d/xprint (=the script which starts/stops/maintains the Xprint deamon) needs to be ported to the "Service Management Framework" format. Right now only the SysV/LSB format format (=/etc/init.d/...) is supported by the Xorg tree - but for Solaris 10 integration a SMF version of this script is required. Source code of /etc/init.d/xprint can be found in xc/programs/Xserver/Xprint/etc/init.d/xprint.cpp (http://freedesktop.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/xorg/xc/programs/Xserver/Xprint/etc/init.d/xprint.cpp ; note: that script is filterd through CPP to allow platform-specific customisations).
This should be assigned to Roland, not Stephen, though I'm sure Stephen & I will be happy to review & advise. I hear you can even use ksh93 in your SMF method scripts on Solaris now. 8-)
Closing WONTFIX because nobody cares about Xprint. Reopen if you plan to address this bug.
Xprint is not included in Solaris 11, so we're not going to do this from our side.
