Description Simon McVittie 2007-11-22 06:58:58 UTC
how do you specify the server and your nickname when joining a chat?

(from telepathy-spec TODO)

<smcv> it's kinda hard to fix actually
<smcv> we need to change the semantics of RequestChannel so you're only in local pending until you say "OK, add me"
<smcv> to give you a chance to change nick first
<smcv> changing nick will be done with either Aliasing or a room property
<smcv> doing it properly also requires Renaming

In the new world of Requests, this could also be done with a request property.
