Description Johannes Engel 2007-11-29 07:33:01 UTC
No entry in any log neither kernel nor X.Org.
I'm using kernel 2.6.23.1 together with the drm-modules from git as of commit 309b2c4c05d02a7e7311a9491b74044f6c7f06a4.
Hardware: intel i945GM.

Switching back to console from X.Org turns display on for the console, but switching back turns it off again.

Could this be a duplicate of #13326? Sounds extremely similar.
Comment 2 Sérgio M. Basto 2007-11-30 09:30:15 UTC
I am getting the same problem I think , but using stable releases , what intel drive are you using ?
Comment 3 Ben Gamari 2007-12-03 07:17:16 UTC
Does anyone get any useful log information when the screen blanks? Do you exhibit momentary display "jittering" every so often?
Comment 4 Sérgio M. Basto 2007-12-03 18:54:09 UTC
Johannes Engel please see the patch that I post on bug #13326
Comment 5 Johannes Engel 2007-12-04 01:30:15 UTC
I also can see this "jittering", but there are no usable log entries neither in kernel log nor in Xorg.0.log. :( I will give Sergio's patch a try.
Comment 6 Johannes Engel 2007-12-04 03:38:22 UTC
OK, as posted in #13326 it does not help here.
Comment 7 Ben Gamari 2007-12-04 10:34:50 UTC
It sounds as if this is the same problem as bug #13326. Anyone object to marking it as a dup?
Comment 8 Johannes Engel 2008-01-14 10:05:22 UTC
No, so here we go... :)
