I use GeForce 6200 with two LCD monitors (both are Benq FP71G+). When Option "DualHead" in /etc/X11/xorg.conf is "True" Xorg stops to work if I try to view any movie with mplayer: screen is fully freezed, no reaction to keypresses or mouse movements, even Ctrl-Alt-Backspace does not work. Console becomes fully blocked - it's not possible to switch to any virtual consoles, when I connect from network and kill Xorg process screen remains unchanged. Only reboot restores normal work of video system. There is no such problem when DualHead is False. After some experiments I've found that DualHead mode works without freezing if I previously run Xorg in singlehead mode at least once, just to initialize video card. As workaround I run Xorg in singlehead mode for 10 seconds during system startup and then Xorg is started with DualHead = True.

I'd just like to add that I've seen the same problem with the same card. However, in my case, the problem manifests itself even without "DualHead" in the config. Disconnecting one monitor during startup helps the system initialise correctly.
xf86-video-nv has been officially unmaintained for a bit now, and we are closing all -nv bugs. If your problem was not addressed, and -nv is still broken, please try xf86-video-nouveau. Thank you.
