Description Ryan Underwood 2008-02-11 13:09:07 UTC
I'm not sure whether to blame this on the VIA BIOS or on VESA.

If /proc is not mounted, the linear framebuffer is detected at 0xfffffff0 for some reason, and the result is a total system crash.

If /proc is mounted, no problems.

That's special. We really don't support running without /proc mounted, sorry. But we should probably fail more politely.

Meh. "Don't do that" for 7.4.

We're not looking in /proc for pci anymore, so I'm calling this fixed. Please reopen if this is still an issue for you.
