Description Slawek K. 2003-11-15 12:52:22 UTC
I've just compiled your Xserver, here's one of my findings:
when using metacity and xcompmgr, clicking the "minimize" button hangs the whole
system. Can't reboot, can't kill the xserver (I don't have a telnet/ssh
connection to my box, so when keyboard stops working there's not much I can
do...). It happens every time I try to minimize.
I guess it's because of the infamous metacity's animation that can't be turned
off due to the KISS philosophy. But it's just a guess.
When xcompmgr isn't running, everything works correctly.
I start X using Xvesa.
