Upon a submission which has a File field, if you forget to specify a file path, the uploading page shows up but there's usual browser logo activity and the page won't change to the item as usual ; the user profile won't show any data related to that submission as well. The server is probably waiting for the file but the timeout is too long or there's none. This could be fixed with an asynchronous process for the file or skip the field altogether and let the user manage file.
