Description Dave Airlie 2008-03-17 23:14:06 UTC
So the Fedora installers doesn't load a drm module currently, and since intel now uses EXA by default, we are seeing the installer hang on boot when starting X on 965 hardware.

We are currently on 2.2.1.

What's the relationship with #15012, which doesn't hang?

Also curious why Fedora doesn't load drm? Is this just a temp situation?
Comment 2 Dave Airlie 2008-03-18 01:23:00 UTC
did you mean a different bug number?

Fedora does't load the DRI for installation procedure, once Fedora is installed it uses drm by default,

The installer doesn't load dri as it tries to avoid problems we've seen with DRI on some chipsets stopping people installing the OS.
