I sent these patches to compiz@ a few weeks ago, but was promptly ignored. I've rebased the patches to current master.

Always output fullscreen in "On big cube" multi-output mode.
Previous condition for "On big cube" mode causes skydome background
to be duplicated on each screen normally, but stretched across all
    screens during rotation.
New condition stretches the background across screens at all times
when in "On big cube" mode, removing the jarring and ugly background

Second patch I care less about, but seems correct:

Change "On big cube" -> "One big cube".
This seems to be what the name was intended to be, since the corresponding
    constant is CUBE_MOMODE_ONE.

Thanks for your patch, but it's wrong because it may conflict with other plugins that want a separate output handling. I will try to fix this with another change I want to make, in the future.

Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not
obviously still valid. Please reopen this bug or file a new report if you continue to experience issues with current releases.
