"When evince renders the attached PDF file the one-way arrows on a number of the
roads are not rendered correctly along the roads but are instead duplicated a
number of times alongside the roads.

Both acroread and xpdf appear to render this correctly."

I can confirm it's only reproducible with the cairo backend, although with splash backend (and with xpdf) it's very slow to render.
