Either using a keyboard with a Stop key and an inet keymap, or mapping F12 as those keys would be:
xmodmap -e "keycode 96 = XF86AudioStop XF86Eject"

Pressing Shift+F12 should give you the XF86Eject keysym, but doesn't. From xev:

KeyRelease event, serial 30, synthetic NO, window 0x7800001,
    root 0x7c, subw 0x0, time 27638905, (706,442), root:(710,488),
    state 0x1, keycode 96 (keysym 0x1008ff15, XF86AudioStop), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
    XFilterEvent returns: False

Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not obviously still valid. Please file a new report if you continue to experience issues with a current server.
