Description Kevin Lange 2008-05-02 12:31:39 UTC
This seems to be the most prominent of bugs related to DRI2...

When a new window is opened under Compiz with intel-batchbuffer and DRI2, it will quite often crash the X server with "Failed to map pixmap: Device is busy", after which any attempts to restart the server yield nothing but an unusable black screen and I must restart (log says hardware errors present, which is surprisingly only a warning...)

Steps to reproduce:
Start an X server with current intel-batchbuffer branch and DRI2 enabled.
Start Compiz.
Open a new window.
Repeat previous step as many times as needed.

I will upload the Xorg.*.log as soon as this forced fsck finishes, not that there is much in it as I tend to not compile for extreme amounts of debug information.

I already sent my log to Kristian Høgsberg.
