Description Ole 2008-06-04 12:58:27 UTC
I use Debian testing and Compiz 0.7.7. For the plugins 'Window resize' and 'Window move' I cannot assign custom mousebuttons. (These are the only plugins where I observed this behaviour.) The entered configuration are automatically replaced, sometimes even with button combinations used by other plugins! Exporting the settings, changing the config and importing again does not help.

This is a feature of the gconf backend of libcompizconfig, and not compiz related.
Disable "Desktop Environment Integration" in ccsm -> Preferences and it will work as you expect.
