Hi,

I was bitten by a problem that occurs when you use <MergeFile>some.menu</MergeFile>, and expect that the some.menu will be looked in the various $XDG_CONFIG_DIRS directories as the file that you override using that mechanism.

I suggest to at least clearly document that relative file names are relative to the physical file that the <MergeFile> tag was found in. Additionally, it would be nice to have a way to use <MergeFile> and have the file to be merged be searched in the $XDG_CONFIG_DIRS paths.

Thanks,
Joachim

Sorry for the noise, reassigning to new (since 2 years) maintainers (Ryan & David).
