Why do you boycott third party software? (http://packagekit.org/pk-faq.html#1-click-install)

The arguments in the FAQ are like "war is peace". It's a security problem to provide a .deb or a .rpm. To install a .deb or a .rpm is like give the author of this package superuser rights. Also you can use the first two arguments as an argument for autopackage etc.

The www is grown up, because its decentral network. You needn't to ask any internet access provider to copy your webfiles to their central server. You could provide software with this www, without an central repository.

Erm, I'm not. I love Klik and autopackage, it's just not what PackageKit is designed to handle. I think it makes a lot of sense for programs like klik to integrate with PackageKit to install some stuff like libraries system wide, and have the application installed locally. If you join the mailing list we can discuss there -- this isn't the sort of discussion I want to have on a bug tracker. If you want to discuss face to face, I'm available on IRC, or if you want, I can invite you on a conf call to discuss. Thanks.
