Description James Westby 2008-09-10 04:19:17 UTC
First reported at https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240231

"
Just tested on Intrepid with policykit: Installed: 0.9-1ubuntu1.

Tried the following:

sudo passwd <myuser> -e
(Now the password is expired)

started time-admin, pressed unlock and entered my current, but expired, password. About 20 sec later an error window comes up with the content "Could not autenticate - An unexpected error has occured". This window can be closed. X and all applications continue working, the only window hanging is the policykit one titled "Authenticate".
"

Thanks,

James

(I may have the component wrong here, if so I apologise)

This should be filed in the GNOME bugzila under policykit-gnome.
