Description Orion Poplawski 2008-09-25 10:06:51 UTC

"Default" xorg.conf

System is a Fujitsu S6510 with:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

On X startup with default config with lid closed and monitor connected via DVI, it starts up in 1024x768.

If I add a monitor section for TMDS-1 I can get it to start the display in 1600x1200.

what's your laptop panel's resolution? 1024x768?
Comment 5 Orion Poplawski 2008-09-26 09:21:01 UTC
Laptop panel resolution is 1280x800

Orion, do you feel the problem is lid close doesn't take effect as you expected. i.e. you hope LVDS won't be detected if lid closed (so TMDS will be the only monitor and get 1600x1200), but in fact it behaves just the same as lid opened (both LVDS and TMDS detected so falls into 1024x768). Am I understanding right? If so, this is bug#11455.

Indeed. Thanks.
