I have a laptop with LCD. A year ago it reacted instantly to keyboard input and showed the image. But now it can sometimes be very slow. There is a delay so that I can hit the key 8 times before I see anything. Using the mouse to wake up the display seems to be as fast as it should. So the delay is on keyboard input. It is not the keyboard itself, since characters show up instantly when typing. This problem does not seem to exist in all sessions. Sometimes it works as expected. But the bug seems to be reproducible during a desktip session. My kernel is 2.6.25-gentoo-r8 and my X server is x11-base/xorg-server-1.3.0.0-r6.

Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not obviously still valid. Please file a new report if you continue to experience issues with a current server.
