The following PDF document takes a very long time to open (~30 seconds in evince).  It contains one fairly high-res image in the background, perhaps that is the reason for the problem?  Acrobat Reader takes about a tenth of the time.

Actually, make that >1 minute to open in evince...

It's a duplicate of bug #18017 and we already know where is the problem so it should be easy to fix.
