Description Roberto Bechtlufft 2008-10-19 14:19:12 UTC
I've found a few similar bugs here at Bugzilla, but they all seem slightly different. If you think this is a duplicate, feel free to merge it.

I'm experiencing occasional Xorg crashes on Debian Lenny. It has happened to me twice last week. Xserver crashes and I can only start it again by rebooting.

I frequently use VirtualBox 2.0, so both times I was running VirtualBox, Seamonkey and Thunderbird.

lspci shows:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82945G/GZ Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02)

uname -r:
2.6.27.2-custom

Do you guys need more info?

Still happening at least once a week. I'm totally clueless. I'll buy a new videocard soon and the problem will probably vanish, but I really would like to help solve the problem, so that others won't experience it. Can't you guys give me a clue on how to track the problem? Thanks...

Confirm in xorg 1.5.3, xorg-dri-intel-7.2 xorg-drv-intel-2.4.3.
