Hey

The following pluralstring has the same string in both cases, that's probably not the idea ;)

#. TRANSLATORS: show a list of packages for the package
#: ../src/gpk-application.c:713
#, c-format
msgid "Packages listed below require %s to function correctly."
msgid_plural "Packages listed below require %s to function correctly."

Regards Kenneth Nielsen
Comment 1 Kenneth Nielsen 2008-11-16 05:40:51 UTC
uhh there's one more

#. TRANSLATORS: message: show the list of packages for this package
#: ../src/gpk-application.c:790
#, c-format
msgid "Packages listed below are required for %s to function correctly."
msgid_plural "Packages listed below are required for %s to function correctly."
msgstr[0] "Pakkerne vist herunder kræves, for at %s fungerer korrekt"
msgstr[1] "Pakkerne vist herunder kræves, for at %s fungerer korrekt"
Comment 2 Richard Hughes 2008-11-23 09:24:12 UTC
Actually, it is the idea, the options are:

Packages listed below are required for hal to function correctly

or

Packages listed below are required for hal, hal-info and DeviceKit to function correctly

Maybe I'm doing it wrong...

Simple patch to remove unnecessary ngettext calls

Richard, you did it wrong :).
There is simply no need for ngettext here.
Comment 4 Kenneth Nielsen 2008-12-22 08:15:29 UTC
Well I don't know for sure that it will never be necessary in that case, I mean for all the other languages. In any case, IF it is kept it could use a translator comment.

Hi there,
This bug report is very old and based on a version not supported anymore. By upgrading to a newer version of PackageKit you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of PackageKit.
Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with the latest version.
Comment 6 Kenneth Nielsen 2012-01-23 04:46:08 UTC
These two strings no longer exist. Ok for marking as invalid.
