I cannot track it to the exact function yet, but I can reproduce it consistently:

1 enable abort on double free in your glibc

2 open ssh

3 X & sleep 10 && DISPLAY=:0 Xnest :1

4 sigabort on X

I can't reproduce it here with FreeBSD's double-free checking and CVS as of
around 2005-09-28.

reporter, if you could reproduce this with a recent build of X and attach the
log from the crash, including backtrace, then we could look at this closer.
