Xorg.0 log file

This card has no output on the DVI port. Output is fine on the VGA
port to the same monitor. It also defaults to 60Hz refresh by default,
even though the display is capable of 75Hz.

This problem is present in both the current GIT sources and version 1.2.3.

Xorg log file is attached.

Turning option "HPD" off provides for output on the DVI port, so it appears this board has a broken connector table.
Comment 2 Matthias Hopf 2009-01-07 10:48:07 UTC
Does "HDP" "Swap" work as well?
Comment 3 Bruce Guenter 2009-01-07 13:45:49 UTC
> Does "HDP" "Swap" work as well?

No. With HPD set to swap, the DVI is not detected neither. The only option I've found to make both work is with HPD off.(In reply to comment #2)
Comment 4 Egbert Eich 2009-01-13 03:28:53 UTC
Could you please run rhd_conntest with the DVI output connected and report the output?
rhd_conntest <pci_id> without any further arguments will do.
Thanks!

# rhd_conntest 01:00.0
rhd_conntest: v1.2.4, dist of git branch master, commit 4e897263
Checking connectors on 0x94C1, 0x1458, 0x2190 (@01:00:00):
  Load Detection: RHD_OUTPUT_DACB
  HotPlug: RHD_HPD_NONE
  DDC: RHD_DDC_NONE

That was gathered while X was running, if it makes any difference.

Does this issue occur with the preferred ati driver (xf86-vide-ati)? If so, please move this to the Driver/Radeon component.

Development of radeonhd has pretty much halted and development focus is on the ati driver. Please see http://www.x.org/wiki/radeonhd

If the issue does not exist in the ati driver (or if there is no response to this message), this bug will be closed as WONTFIX unless someone contributes a patch.
Comment 7 Bruce Guenter 2011-10-16 17:56:58 UTC
I have since switched to a different ATI card and to the xf86-video-ati driver, so I'd agree to moving this to WONTFIX.
